An example of how insightful a simple story could be, if viewed in a different perspective. This is adapted from one of the talks given by my Master.
Mulla Naseerudin was searching for something in the market that was well lit. His friend asked Mulla what he was searching for.
Mulla said : I am searching for the key to my house
His friend asked: Where did you loose the key?
Mulla replied: I lost the key near my house.
His friend asked: Why are you searching for the key in the market, when you lost it in your house?
Mulla retorted: I have no light in my house and it is very dark out there. Since this place is very well lit, I am searching it here.
At a first glance, this might sound very funny. But, thinking deeply, it conveys a profound thought.
Whatever you may have lost,
Where ever you may have lost,
You can find it under the light.
Light of an enlightened Soul - The Master.
